Former Asst. Secretary of Defense Urges Congress to Allow Gays to Serve Openly
Lawrence J. Korb, former Assistant Secretary of Defense under President Ronald Reagan, urged Congress last week to repeal the 'Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell' law banning lesbian, gay and bisexual personnel from serving openly in the military. His remarks came before a joint hearing of the House Armed Services Air and Land Forces Subcommittee and the House Armed Services Readiness Subcommittee.

Like many Americans, I only finished doing my taxes over this weekend. Between state and federal forms, the document came to a full fifty-four pages. For gay couples, tax code can be daunting. Just don’t be queer. The number of reports of physical violence and abuse by soldiers returning from duty is alarming.
